The Monitor (BUMED)
BUMED PATIENT SATISFACTION SURVEY
The Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Patient Satisfaction survey is designed
to provide information that will drive decisions to improve the delivery of healthcare
to eligible beneficiaries. The survey is conducted through the use of standard
mail to deliver the invitations to randomly selected beneficiaries of the BUMED
Patient Satisfaction Survey. Beneficiaries will have the option to complete the
survey via the Internet, or return by standard mail, or complete a short version of
the survey using the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System.
The Reports and Data Module on the BUMED Monitor Web site provides support for performance
improvement and planning activities. The Reports and Data Module allows administrators,
healthcare providers, and Naval personnel to view reports based on patient-satisfaction
levels regarding the Encounter, Access, the Facility, and Ancillary services such
as Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Radiology.
